Artifact: Structured and Unstructured Logs
Reflection:
This Artifact is made up of the many structured and unstructured field experiences and logs completed for all of the courses in the Instructional Technology program. The experiences that I received through each course have included a variety of activities that supported my learning and understanding of the material needed to complete the program. The experiences that I completed gave me the opportunity to train and develop my colleagues, enrich my students’ and other students’’ learning and find ways to improve my learning strategies and techniques as a face-to-face classroom and my future online classroom.
This artifact shows mastery of this standard because it required me to use my professional knowledge and skills and my newly learned knowledge and skills to improve the learning of others and myself. It required me to apply new technologies and find ways t apply different technologies in ways that I had not before. The field experience logs helped me monitor my field experiences and give me a reference on what all I have completed. The logs serve almost as a reflection that I can refer back to when needed.
This artifact has taught me that the only way to get better with technology in the classroom is to try new experiences with it. It taught me that part of learning is trying and making mistakes and learning how to include others (students and other teachers) in your learning. If I could go back and change anything about my field experiences, I would have continued some of them past the dates required to better my own personal skills.
This artifact impacted student learning for me. It allowed me to practice the skills and strategies that I was studying. It gave me time practice and then reflect. This helped me see the things in the technology field that appeal to me and the things that I would prefer not to do. It also, showed me new strengths about myself as a technology leader and it gave me more knowledge as a technology leader.
