Artifact: Multimedia Design Project Webquest
Reflection:
The Multimedia Design Project Webquest was completed in ITEC 7445. In this artifact I created a Webquest to take second grade students through the states of matter. The Webquest gave students a task to complete. It went on to give them a process to go through to learn what they needed to know about the states of matter. The artifact had a page for teachers who wanted to possibly use the webquest as a resource in their own classroom as well.
This artifact shows mastery of this standard because a digital tool is being used as a resource to expand student learning. The artifact allows students to grow in their knowledge of the content standard and helps them grow in their knowledge of technology. The artifact is giving students the chance to explore the states of matter in a new way.
This artifact taught me how to create a webquest that I could use in my classroom with my actual students. This was one of my first few experiences with using technology to expand student learning on a content area. If I could change one thing about this experience, it would be to add more in make the webquest more in-depth for the students to expand their learning.
This artifact impacts student learning. It is using the webquest as a resource to expand the knowledge of students through technology and through students taking themselves through a process to solve a task.
