Artifact: Technology Workshop Coaching Journal
Reflection:
In ITEC 7460 the Technology Workshop Coaching Journal was completed. The workshop was completed so that teachers at Russell Elementary School could learn to effectively use MobyMax to improve math scores. The workshop also showed teachers the ways that MobyMax could benefit them in the classroom in other content areas besides math.
This artifact shows mastery of the standard because it was a professional learning opportunity given to teachers, where teachers were taught about technology that can be used to support face-to-face learning. Adult learning took place because teachers were being taught how to use a new tool to integrate into their classroom.
From this artifact I learned the importance of planning a presentation and preparing to coach others through a new tool. If I could change one thing about completing the artifact or do something different, I would have had student examples to show how students use the tool, how I personally integrate it in my classroom, and to show how it has benefitted student results.
This artifact impacted factuality development. It gave teachers an opportunity to learn about a new tool that would help with student achievement in math and other content areas. This would eventually improve student growth school wide.
