Artifact: Class Blogs
Reflection:
The class blogs has been a chance to express my thoughts on courses, assignments that I enjoyed and felt really benefitted me, what I have gained/ learned from courses, and my appreciation for my professors throughout the Instructional Technology program. There is a post for each course that was completed throughout the Instructional Technology program. These blog post are located on my Education Weebly site that was created for the program.
This artifact demonstrates the mastery of this standard for two reasons. To complete this artifact a collaboration web tool was used to communicate with other students (my peers) who chose to come and look at the post and to communicate my thoughts and feelings to my professors in the Instructional Technology program. It also utilizes digital communication through writing thoughts for others to see and it gives others the opportunity to respond to the post.
Completing this artifact helped me learn the importance in communicating my thoughts and feelings using a collaboration tool. If I could do something differently, I would have made written post throughout the courses not just at the end of a semester. I also would have went more in detail with my post. By more in detail I mean that I would’ve taken more time to discuss more of my assignments and how all the major assignments benefitted me, not just the ones that I really enjoyed.
This artifact impacted my student learning and development. It caused me to have to reflect on each course and communicate my reflections using a collaboration tool for the public to have access to see. It also showed me the importance and gave me the chance to see the importance of blogging experiences and opinions in education.
